The automatic gear of my Nissan Laurel C32 is not changing to gear 4 and 5 even when the overdrive is on, help?

You did not include what year. I suspect parts may be hard to find for a 1989 C-32. Replacing the transmission might get expensive. Then you may have to much money in that old car
