Do the British people want a government that will listen to, and act in accordance with, their views?

Politics is always a dilemma. If I think about Iraq, I want a government that does what I think is the moral thing and the view of the majority of people. Alternatively, if I think about issues like capital punishment or racism, I would NOT want a government that does whatever the majority says!
