A question about mortal kombat 9 (2011)?

Ok I have the PS3 and I preordered mortal kombat 9 and a getting the scorpion clic costume and fatality (yay!! :D). And anyway I overheard that kratos will b exclusive for the ps3 in that game. Will he come already in the game like how darth vader and yoda came already on soul calibur 4? Or will I have to end up downloading him with some card/voucher thing?
