Watering lawn at night?

I actually think it is better to water at night personally, I water 1/2 as much and the plants and gr have a reasonable amount of time to rehydrate for the heat of the day and there not getting shocked by cold water hitting them when they have acclimated to the heat already. So I water at night but not allot and all if fine in my yard.
