What's the difference between the words FORTE and REPERTOIRE? I seem to think they both have the same meaning?

Forte means strength. It refers to your specialty. A repertoire is the total of your skills. For example, you could say that someone has a wide repertoire of comedic skills, but his forte is stand up.
